Demineralised Water Supply

Purity you can trust - our demineralised water supply delivers high-quality, contaminant-free water for critical applications, nationwide.

Delivering Pure Water Supply

Our dedicated fleet ensures the highest standards of purity in demineralised water delivery. Every tanker is meticulously pre-rinsed with demineralised water before loading, eliminating any trace of residual chlorine and safeguarding water quality.

With nationwide coverage and a commitment to reliability, we provide a seamless supply for critical industrial applications, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and operational excellence.

What is Demineralised Water?

Demineralised water is mains water that has been processed to remove impurities.

The water we supply undergoes an ion exchange process, where it is passed through a resin bed that eliminates dissolved ionic impurities commonly found in mains water.

This process involves:

  • Cations (positively charged ions) such as sodium, iron, calcium, and copper being exchanged for hydrogen.
  • Anions (negatively charged ions) such as sulfate and chloride being exchanged for hydroxyl.

The result is ultra-pure demineralised water, free of ionic contaminants.

Other methods for producing demineralised water include Reverse Osmosis (RO) and distillation.

Using Demineralised Water

Uses for Demineralised Water

Storing Demineralised Water

Demineralised water is ideal for various industrial and commercial applications where contaminants could interfere with processes or leave residues. Common uses include:

  • Laboratory applications (e.g., autoclaves and testing)
  • Automotive cooling systems
  • Lead-acid vehicle batteries
  • Laser cutting
  • Steam irons
  • Aquariums
  • Humidifiers
  • Cosmetics (where “aqua” on ingredient lists often refers to demineralised water)
  • Fine-mist fire-fighting equipment
  • Aircraft engine cooling systems
  • Commercial window cleaning

In the pharmaceutical industry, demineralised water is a key raw material in active ingredients and products. In the electronics industry, it is prized for its low conductivity and is used to manufacture printed circuit boards submerged in purified water.

Once delivered by our water tankers, demineralised water should be used immediately in production or transferred to a suitable storage tank.

Because demineralised water has had most of its ions removed, it tends to “attack” the material of the storage container to regain ions.

Recommended storage materials include:

  • Stainless steel
  • Glass
  • High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

Avoid PVC tanks for prolonged storage, especially if the water is heated, as they may leach substances into the water over time.
