Sustainable Bottled Water Solutions
- Simplifying Recycling: All water bottles we supply are 100% recyclable, making proper disposal straightforward for consumers. We actively promote recycling to our customers.
- Exploring Alternatives: We continue to source, invest in and promote in innovative packaging solutions such as Aqube, cans, and cartons, giving our customers greener choices.
- Mobile Recycling: We’re developing a mobile recycling unit as a proof of concept for deployment at handout locations, encouraging on-the-spot recycling.
- Recycled Content Commitment: Our bottled water now contains at least 50% recycled material, aligning with government and WRAP UK targets.
- Reducing Waste: We regularly rotate stock to prevent unnecessary waste caused by expired products.
Sustainable Fleet Management
- Investing in Efficiency: Our fleet is made up of clean Euro 6 low-emission vehicles, prioritising fuel efficiency and meeting the latest emission standards.
- Fleet Accreditation: As a FORS Silver Operator, we adhere to best practices for reducing fuel consumption and emissions, including specific targets set out in the FORS Standard (Section S3).
- Policies for Sustainability: We’ve introduced robust policies to cut emissions, such as anti-idling measures and optimised route scheduling to reduce mileage.
- Dedicated Expertise: We have appointed a Fuel & Emissions Champion, responsible for:
- Measuring and monitoring CO2, NOx, and particulate emissions.
- Managing action plans and tracking KPIs on fuel efficiency.
- Delivering monthly performance reports for the senior management team.
Enhancing Business Operations
- Energy Reduction: Solar panels installed at select premises are helping us reduce energy usage and reliance on non-renewable sources.
- ISO-aligned Environmental Management: Our commitment to ISO 14001 principles and certification via UVBD Verify B2 ensures consistent 100% compliance over five years.
- Comprehensive Recycling Initiatives: Across the business, we have rolled out schemes for recycling paper, plastics, food waste, and print cartridges, diverting waste from landfill.
- Waste Stream Segregation: By separating waste streams, we maximise recycling opportunities and reduce landfill contributions.
- Promoting Alternative Fuels: Through an electric car salary sacrifice scheme, we encourage employees to opt for electric vehicles, supported by free on-site charging facilities.
